After finishing high school, I studied economics at the University of Cologne for five years. From 2010 to 2012 I enrolled in the research track of the economics master’s program at the University of Munich. Upon graduation in fall 2012 I was admitted to the PhD program in Munich where I have been a student until May 2017. I have spent the entire calendar year 2016 at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In fall 2017, I have joined the economics department of Tilburg University as an assistant professor. My research interests include behavioral & experimental economics, public policy & political economy, and behavioral & experimental finance.
In my free time, I like to watch the Vancouver Canucks play (and win), go hiking and travel. All header photos on this website have been taken either by my wife or by me during one of our joint travels.
